We are super excited to share with you the much-awaited recipe of solid shampoo bar.

This shampoo, made with natural ingredients, will have the advantage of being adapted to your type of hair and scalp, is eco-friendly, and very economical.

Ingredients :

Below are some ideas of carrier oils, herbal powders, and essential oils and their benefits to adapt your solid shampoo to your hair type.

Carrier oils :

  • Jojoba oil : nourishes dry hair, brittle hair, regulates oily scalps, and gives shine.
  • Castor oil : improves hair growth, moisturizes the scalp, ease dandruff, gives shine.
  • Avocado oil : moisturizes, repairs, strengthen, and prevents hair from breaking.
  • Coconut oil : penetrates deep in hair follicles which promotes hair growth, moisturizes scalp and hair, adds shine and softness to the hair.

Herbal Powders : 

  • Amla : Eliminates dandruff, prevents hair loss, very rich in antioxidants.
  • Neem : Nourishes the scalp, eliminates dandruff, soothe frizz, promotes hair growth.
  • Brahmi : Supports scalp circulation which in turn nourishes hair follicles and reduces hair loss.
  • Shikakai : Its high vitamin C content helps promote hair growth by giving your scalp a collagen boost. It is also a great source of antioxidants that help prevent free-radical damage.
  • Hibiscus : Fights hair loss. Natural conditioner. Makes hair stronger and thicker.

Essential Oils :

  • Lavender :  Anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Helps with scalp conditions such as dandruff, eczema, psoriasis. Soothes and heals the scalp and thereby reduces hair fall.
  • Eucalyptus : Hair regrowth, improves blood circulation in the scalp which also enhances hair growth and increases the hair volume.
  • Rosemary : Improves hair growth and hair thickness, rosemary oil is a great choice thanks to its ability to improve cellular generation.
  • Tea tree : Powerful cleansing, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties.

Directions :

1/ Melt the SCI powder in a double boiler. SCI is very powdery. It should be handled with caution in a well-ventilated place and/or while wearing a dust mask.

2/ Add the water, carrier oils, and powders.  Do not add the essential oils now.
Stir well until all the components are mixed together in a compact paste that easily peels off the sides of the bowl.

3/ Remove the bowl from the double boiler.

4/ Add the essential oil(s) and stir well.

5/ You can now transfer the paste in the mold, and let cool for 24-48h.

Use and conservation :

To use, simply rub the shampoo bar directly onto the wet hair and scalp.

Let it dry between every use.

Allow at least three weeks before giving a final opinion of this product.
