If you’re looking for a homemade deodorant that will both work efficiently and nourish your skin, look no further. Your new natural deodorant will feel creamy and smooth, and get rid of those pesky odor-causing bacteria. Plus it’s economical !
Ingredients for about 100ml deodorant :
- 50ml of Organic Coconut Oil
- 10g of Beeswax
- 30g of Baking Soda
- 20g of French Green Clay
- 10g of Non-nano Zinc oxide powder (anti-odor, protects the skin)
- 15 Drops of essential oil. We suggest Lavender Essential oil , Bergamot Essential Oil, or Tea Tree Essential oil, for their anti microbial, anti-fungal and anti bacterial properties.
- A container that you can find here.
Coconut oil is extremely moisturizing to the skin and helps ward off bacteria.
French Green Clay will absorb moisture, and has natural detoxifying properties.
Directions
- Using the double boiler method, melt the beeswax.
- Once fully melted, add the coconut oil and mix well.
- Remove from the heat, and immediately add in the Baking Soda, the Green Clay and the Zinc Oxide Powder. Make sure there are no clumps and stir well to combine ingredients evenly.
- After 15 minutes, add in the essential oil of your choice, and make sure to stir again for one to two minutes. Never add your essential oils immediately after removing a mixture from heat, as high heat will damage the oil properties.
- Put your mixture into a jar and let it completely cool off for about 2 hours.
You can now apply your chemical-free deodorant on your armpits like a cream !
